Since April 2024 Royal Mail have introduced two new shipping services. They are called UK Tracked 24 and UK Tracked 48.
These new services are NOT a guaranteed delivery service. Royal Mail clearly state these delivery times are their delivery aims which could be longer should a service encounter delays.
Some customers are mistaking these times as a guaranteed delivery service. This is incorrect and will lead to disappointment.
SaveMyLight offers three UK services:
1) Royal Mail Tracked 24
2) Royal Mail Tracked 48
3) Royal Mail Special Delivery
The only service above which is a guaranteed delivery service by 1.30pm Monday to Friday is Royal Mail Special Delivery.
However there are exceptions to this. Please see the link below for Postcodes & Exceptions.
SaveMyLight will not reship goods or pay compensation when customers select Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 and goods take longer to be delivered.
Royal Mail do not class goods as missing or lost until 15 working days have elapsed from the day of shipping.
Although Royal Mail do their best to deliver goods within those delivery aims there may be delays around the country depending on Royal Mail’s current service levels.
