After contacting numerous electrical repairers and lighting shops who drew a blank in sourcing the transformer for my floor light I now have a fully working light again.
You may wish however to take issue with the Post Office. This delivery was not signed for but posted through the letter box as normal mail.
Thanks again, I felt my light was irreplaceable as it matched other lighting in the room so I would have had to replace 4 light fittings
