As is usual around this time of year SaveMyLight sees an influx of customers placing orders for products.
However for some customers the moment the goods arrive the customer claims the goods are faulty.
SaveMyLight would like to remind all customers that everything that leaves this company is tested before despatch.
Should a product not perform as expected or have an issue it will not be despatched to the customer.
Units will not immediately fail upon arrival UNLESS:-
1) The fault that caused the original unit to fail or in some cases a new fault was not rectified.
2) The safety cut out (SCO) has engaged thus giving no output (which goes back to the above reason).
3) The unit has been wired incorrectly on the 12v output (common with two and three outputs).
The above three examples are the most common reasons as to why a new unit will not work.
Of course there are other reasons and assistance can be found by reading the:-
Returns Involving the Safety Cut Out news post.
Should a unit be returned to us and no fault is found or the unit is in safety mode a retesting charge will apply. This is currently £10.00 for UK customers and £12.00 for international customers.
David and his staff have to carry out an extended test on these returns and they take between 3 and 4 hours to complete and have to be constantly monitored and logged.
Could we advise all customers not to immediately presume the product is faulty, but to instead read the 2 page Guidance Notes supplied with the product and to read the assistance links for these issues which can be found under the ‘NEWS‘ tab on the Homepage.
We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
