Despite repeated warnings on this website and the guidance notes supplied with every purchase of a transformer, customers are still ignoring the need to have items fitted by a Qualified Electrician.
Customers are continuing to telephone or email us asking ‘what wire goes where?’, ‘how do I fit it?’ and even ‘how do I open the transformer?’ to name but a few questions.
SaveMyLight know that Qualified Electricians do contact us for advice and our Customer Service staff will endeavour to assist. However should staff believe a caller is not a Qualified Electrician or asking precarious questions ‘ie: what wire goes where, staff will ask the caller to consult a Qualified Electrician.
Sometimes swapping a component over with a new item may not always be straight forward as some manufacturers revise their items which can lead to a change in PCB design and a change to the colour of wiring.
SaveMyLight no longer supplies wiring diagrams to customers.
Sometimes a transformer may have had a revision which would render a previous diagram incorrect.
Customers risk serious injury by ignoring the warnings put in place to ensure their safety.
It is imperative that all electronic transformers are fitted by a Qualified Electrician for safety as well as guarantee purposes.
There are no exceptions to the above rule.
SaveMyLight pride themselves on safety first.
