This is the story of ‘A Light Saved In Chile’
14th April 2012
We at SaveMyLight aim for 100% customer satisfaction for every sale.
We help tens of thousands of people every year not just with sales of electronic transformers, but also with technical advice.
Mr Jose Manuel Uribe was one of them. 11649 kilometres away Mr Uribe purchased an Eaglerise SET210CS transformer for his lounge light fitting in Chile, South America.
Mr Uribe entrusted us to save his light fitting. And that’s exactly what we did.
Out of all the sales we have had this is the most memorable. It is the one story that stands out in particular and we thought we would share this story with you.
Initial Email from Jose:-
Hi,
The SUNRISE Electronic Transformer SET210CS of my halogen lamp is burnt. I live in South America, and it has been impossible to find one to replace it around here. I saw a similar one in your catalogue… It is possible that if I buy it to you online, you send it to me by fedex or ups?
Thank you very much.
Jose.
Our response:-
Dear Jose,
Good to hear from you.
Our transformers are for 220v – 240v European Electricity Systems.
What voltage are you using where you live?
We can send it via any courier you require.
Steve
Response from Jose:-
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your quick answer, we use 220v in Chile. Here is an image of the transformer I was using
I would make a painting with your face and put it on my living room if you solve my problem 😉
Jose.
Our response:-
Hi Jose,
Sunrise is now part of Eaglerise, but I have that model in stock.
Although the twin output has now been replaced with a single output, but that will not really affect you.
It can be purchased at:- http://www.savemylight.co.uk/lightingtransformers-1/eaglerise/eaglerise-eet210ck-set210cs-transformer.html
You would not want my face on your wall I am not that good looking!!
Steve
Response from Jose:-
Hey Steve,
I’ve already ordered the transformer from the website and you told me. ‘It’s on its way to Chile!’ Thank you very much for your help, you were the only person in the world (and believe me, i tried lots of countries), who was able to help me.
Don’t worry about the painting, i will imagine something like this, but with a transformer on his hand.
Thanks again,
Jose.
Our response:-
Hi Jose,
That made me laugh. This is all good to hear.
Steve
Response from Jose:-
This is my happy family with their fixed lamp, thanks to the transformer you sent me.
Thank you again! 😉
Our response:-
Dear Jose,
Thank you for this email.
You have made me very happy on this Saturday afternoon.
What a fantastic picture and the food looks lovely.
With your permission can I use our communication and photo on our website and set up a special section in relation to your sale?
Maybe a picture with the heading ‘A Light Saved in Chile’.
Steve
Response from Jose:-
Absolutely! You literally saved my light! I am gladly surprised on your customer service. Never seen something like it in Chile. I have already used this example on my work, with my team, so use it as you wish! I’ll send you the pic on a higher resolution in my next e-mail.
Have a nice weekend!
Jose
And this story is what SaveMyLight is all about. Saving your light fitting from being thrown away forever.
Update 26/12/15
SaveMyLight has received another order from Mr Uribe three and a half years on for another two lighting transformers. These will be on their way to Chile by Fedex on 29/12/15 along with a Christmas greeting.
We value all customers especially repeat customers!
