As of 1st December 2014 SaveMyLight are only able to assist customers who have placed an order or can give an active order number.
We cannot offer any technical advice or assistance with products purchased from other suppliers.
SaveMyLight cannot under any circumstances give fitting information over the telephone or by email.
This is mainly for health and safety, but mostly because of legal issues.
i.e The blue wire goes here, the red wire goes here!
This is the job of your qualified electrician to fit the product you have purchased.
Despite continued repeated warnings customers are still taking risks attempting to DIY fit electronic components themselves instead of using a qualified electrician with experience of fitting electronic transformers who understands the logos and circuit diagrams.
This is where the problems start. As the UK stockist when the item appears not to work we become the first point of call.
Many transformers over the years have had revisions and it is impossible for SaveMyLight to know which revision, which type of PCB is fitted or even if a transformer can be dimmed simply by speaking to a customer over the telephone. Nor can we see the customer’s lighting setup.
Some customers are even purchasing second hand lighting transformers and asking us how to fit them. This is dangerous and we cannot assist as we do not know what unit is fitted or where it came from.
SaveMyLight does not know the history of transformers purchased from other retailers and cannot give any advice.
We have implemented this change due to customers attempting to circumvent our terms and conditions by asking certain questions to gain assistance with their product purchased elsewhere.
Thus not seeking a qualified electrician to fit their product in the first place.
SaveMyLight asks that ALL transformers purchased from us are fitted by a qualified electrician.
A qualified electrician will issue you with a certifcate to confirm their work follows the relevant UK Regulations.
A qualified electrician is somebody who has passed their training and holds relevant certificates (ie Part P) and has the ability, equipment and experience to fit electronic components.
